Our satellite receiver went out a couple of weeks ago. At the time, we were worried about what the hell we were going to do for three whole days without TV, while we waited for the new one to arrive. (Bubble Wrap from Andrea Edwards on Vimeo.)
Oddly, we didn’t really miss it all that much. Something about the sun shining, birds singing, blah blah blah.
The new one arrived a week and a half ago, and it sat there in the box, unopened, until this morning when we finally had a few spare hours minutes to read the directions and untangle a zillion cords.
It’s funny what a couple of weeks without television will do to you – and to your kids, for that matter.
I give you:
Bubble Wrap, Instant Entertainment for the Whole Family. Reality TV at its finest.

this is a typical Wednesday in the Spohr Haus.
I love the girls dancing on the bubble wrap. I could almost hear the theme to “Peanuts” playing in the background.
Love that they need a drink break inbetween popping! Bubble wrap best invention out there.
Maybe there should be a new “Bubble-wrap show” on TV? Now THAT would be entertainment!
I too hoard bits of bubble wrap for mindless popping while I am watching tv. The kids and I take turns popping the bubbles. As we get tired of it we pass it on to the next person.
My kids love bubble wrap but I hide it from them because I always need it for my store. Hmmmm. This makes me think I need to treat them sometime.
Very entertaining!
You have GOT to love bubble wrap!!! That was adorable, and even more adorable after I read Heather’s comment, and imagined them dancing to the Peanuts theme.
I’ve asked to have my cell at the insane asylum padded with bubble wrap, I love it that much.

I totally know what you mean. Forever I was spending WAAAY too much money on the fool cable package, with all the movie channels, etc. I finally decided to cut back and just have the basic extended cable (since I watch TNT, and USA, and the food network a lot LOL). I’ve saved myself well over $100 a month, and I’ve not missed a thing. I can’t believe I thought I would be twitching by the end of the first day.
